Strong foundation is the most important structure of any house, so does every Yoga school.
🌿 As a house without a foundation, it doesn't matter how high or nice the house is, it won’t be stable and lasting for long. Building a foundation is one of the most time-consuming and much effort-investing periods that not many people pay attention to but look at a beautiful house.
🌿 So does a yoga pose, the foundation of the posture is the most important part. Once the foundation is strong, the posture gets secure. From then, firm postures keep the body balanced, strengthen targeted muscles, and keep the body safe even when practicing extremely flexible and bendy poses.
🌿 However, establishing a good foundation when practicing any yoga pose is also less important to some as it takes a lot of time, effort and doesn't look that "attractive". If one just wants a quick fix to perform beautiful postures when the foundation isn’t strong enough, it will not be beneficial to the body in the long run, that is in the case where the body, bones and joints are completely healthy. And in other cases in which their bodies have multiple problems, it’s even more harmful and doesn’t do any good.
🌿 Therefore, practicing, defining and building steadily foundations of postures is the main goal for yoga practitioners in their early years of practice. Particularly important for those who wish to BECOME a YOGA TEACHER whether they follow any school of yoga (Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga or Iyengar...) or simply want to experience a SAFE SELF-PRACTICE.
